What Superposer is

Superposer lets you play the Windows games you own on Steam on a Mac with Apple silicon, from the normal Mac Steam app. Pick a Windows-only game in Steam, press Install, then Play, and it runs, much like Proton does on a Steam Deck. Achievements, playtime and Steam Cloud saves work as usual.

Under the hood it uses Wine (to run Windows programs), Apple's D3DMetal or the open-source DXMT (to turn DirectX graphics into Metal), Rosetta 2 (to run Intel code) and a small connector that lets the game talk to your Mac Steam. On top of that Superposer adds its own tools: a game resolution and upscaler, a frame rate limit, a Performance HUD and an in-game overlay you can drive with a controller.

Superposer is in beta: free while it's being tested, and some features are marked as previews.
