Changes to your Mac, and undoing them
Superposer records every change it makes outside its own folders, with how to undo it. Changes to Your Mac in the sidebar lists them; each entry can be reverted.
| Where | What | Undone by |
|---|---|---|
~/Library/Application Support/Superposer | the runtime, graphics translators, settings, the change record, saved-game backups | Uninstall Superposer |
~/Library/Caches/Superposer, ~/Library/Logs/Superposer | downloads, caches, logs | Uninstall Superposer |
Inside Steam's app (steam_dev.cfg, compatibilitytools.d) | Windows mode and the two Superposer tools | Steam Integration › Turn Off, or Uninstall Superposer |
Steam's config.vdf | which games run with Superposer | Turn Off, or Uninstall Superposer |
steamapps/compatdata/<appid> | each Windows game's own Windows environment (its "prefix") | uninstalling that game |
Superposer never changes Steam's or Apple's programs, installs no background service besides its small new-game watcher (the login item app.superposer.watcher, removed with the integration), and never deletes game files itself: it asks Steam to.
