Controller problems
- The game doesn't react to the controller. Make sure the Mac sees it (System Settings › Game Controllers), then click into the game's window once so the game has focus. Some games only look for a controller when they start or in their own settings menu: connect it first, or switch the game's input to "controller" or "gamepad".
- Turning the pad off and on fixes it for a moment. That's fine to do mid-game; the game gets it back. If it doesn't, quit the game and start it again with the pad connected.
- The Xbox (or PS / Home) button opens Steam's overlay instead of Superposer's. Steam reacts to that button too; Superposer closes Steam's overlay again when it opens on the same press, using Steam's overlay shortcut. If Steam's stays, check that Steam's shortcut is still Shift+Tab (Steam › Settings › In Game), or turn off Guide button focuses Steam (Steam › Settings › Controller; it applies to all games). You can also set Open with controller to View + Menu in the overlay's Controls. Steam's overlay is always in Superposer's: Session › Steam overlay.
- Steam's controller remapping doesn't apply. Steam Input can't change buttons for Windows games on a Mac; use the game's own button settings.
- Buttons do nothing while Superposer's overlay is open. That's on purpose: the game gets no input while the overlay is up. Close it with B or Esc.
- The game shows PlayStation buttons as Xbox ones (or the other way round). Many Windows games only know Xbox pads; look for a "button prompts" option in the game.
- Battery level, adaptive triggers, gyro, touchpad or light bar aren't supported in games yet.
Still stuck? Report the problem with the game open, and say which controller you use.
