Sharing your results

When your copy of Superposer has a results server, How did it run for you? (a game's Test & Reports tab) and Settings › Privacy have Share my results to help others. It is off until you turn it on.

  • What is sent when it is on and you press Save Report: the game and its Steam app ID, your verdict, the runtime version and graphics backend, the macOS version (like 26.0), the chip (like M4 Max), the Superposer version, your notes, and a random ID for this Mac. Exactly what would be sent under the toggle shows every field for the report you are writing.
  • What is not sent: your name, account, email, Steam ID, serial number, Mac model, files or logs. Your notes lose file paths, your user name, links, email addresses and long numbers first, and are cut to 280 characters. Games from other stores are never shared.
  • Turning it off stops sharing and forgets the random ID; turning it on again starts a new one.
  • Testers results: everyone's latest result per game, merged, appear on the Compatibility page and in Will it work?, with how many said what and how much they agree (low, medium or high confidence). The list is downloaded once a week and only used if Superposer's signature on it checks out. The download sends nothing about you; turn off Show testers' results in Settings › Privacy to stop it and delete the list.
  • Testers' results are other players' own verdicts on their Macs. Your own result and Superposer-verified results come first.
