Superposer

Troubleshooting

Steam updated itself and Windows games stopped working

You never need to block Steam's updates: a normal update leaves Superposer's settings in place. Only reinstalling Steam (or a cleaner app deleting it) removes them, and Superposer puts them back by itself, while Steam is still downloading its fresh copy or the next time you quit Steam. The Steam Integration page then says Steam was reinstalled and Superposer re-applied its settings. Until then Steam runs as a normal Mac Steam: Mac games are fine, but Windows games don't show Play, and you shouldn't verify, update or uninstall them.

  • If the page shows Fix…, quit Steam and use it.
  • If Superposer warns that its tools are missing but Windows mode is still on, don't start Steam until you've used Fix, or Steam may hide your Mac games.
